FORM GRINDING
4 x Jones and Shipman 540X surface grinders with Optidress attachments. Grit wheels can be formed to grind features into parts to high accuracy. Tooling can be ganged up to make cost effective parts.
TOOL AND CUTTER GRINDING
2 x Tool and cutter grinders with Liverpool attachments. Commonly used to grind compound angles and clearances on our tooling.
5 AXIS CNC GRINDING
German built CNC machine with an extensive range of wheels for HSS and TC tooling. High speed accurate grinding and repeatability.
WICKMAN OPTICAL GRINDERS
2 x Wickman OPGS that can be used for small batch work or where work holding isn’t possible on the CNC machine.
CYLINDRICAL GRINDING
2 x cylindrical grinders which can be used for internal or external grinding.
ROUGH SURFACE GRINDING
1 x Snow segmental grinder which is used to grind stock off our material prior to heat treatment. Also has the ability to grind bevels on parts with our extensive range of stock magnetic top plates.
CNC MILLING
2 x Hurco machining centres tooled up for repeatable jobs. High speed accurate milling.
CNC TURNING
1 x XYZ 425 gap lathe with a turning capacity of 700mm dia. Can be used as a manual lathe with the ability to “jog” through the program and prove parts before machining material.
LINE GRINDING
3 x various line grinding machines with borazon wheels to hold tight tolerances. CNC and conventional interfaces.
WIRE EROSION
2 x wire eroders:
CUT200 – Working envelope 350 x 220mm
ALC600G – Working envelope 600 x 400mm
Both machines have automatic wire threading and can be run on a lights out policy. This gives us the flexibility in providing a very attractive lead time. The larger machine is tooled up to machine multiple parts cost effectively.
CUTTING OFF
Radiac cut off machine for bars up to 100mm dia. Mild steel cut off saw used on softer materials.
GAS BRAZING
Gas torch brazing with various nozzles for intricate to large parts.
